# Data & security posture

> How EMI handles your data today — an honest, current statement.

  This page intentionally does **not** repeat Invariant's Compliance & Validation claims. EMI and
  Invariant are separate products with separate architectures; the posture below reflects what is
  actually built and verified for EMI today, not an assumption carried over from Invariant.

## What's true for EMI today

* **No ERP migration required.** EMI connects to your existing data sources as an overlay; it does not
  require replacing your ERP or inventory system.
* **Query and approval logging.** Actions and approvals within EMI are logged.
* **Export-ready reporting.** Data can be exported per page/report on demand.

## What is not yet claimed for EMI

* EMI does **not** currently carry Invariant's application-layer, tamper-evident, hash-chained audit
  trail. Do not represent EMI's logging as equivalent to Invariant's audit-integrity architecture.
* Formal validation/compliance artifacts (e.g. a Validation Accelerator Pack) have not yet been built
  for EMI specifically.
* Multi-tenant data-isolation testing equivalent to Invariant's tenant-isolation proof has not yet
  been documented for EMI.
