# Changelog

> What's new in Essence.

**2026-10-15**

## This week home page

* **Order.** Packaging to order, earliest order date first. An order date that has already passed shows as overdue.
* **At risk.** Beers and packs that could run short in the coming weeks.
* **Brew.** What the plan says to brew next.
* **Decide.** Items that need a decision from your team, including mixed packs whose recipe we still need to confirm.
* Mixed packs we can't check yet never show an order date. They say "Confirm recipe with Jake" instead.
* The rest of Essence is unchanged. "This week" is the first item in the menu.

## Packaging stock on the Materials page

The Materials page now checks your packaging stock from Ekos against the packaging plan, week by week.

* **Will it run out?** For each beer and pack, the page shows whether cans, wraps, lids and trays will run short, which week, and when to order. An order date that has already passed shows as overdue.
* **At risk list.** The top of the page lists only the beers and packs that need attention. A "Show all rows" control reveals the rest.
* **Wraps when printed cans run out.** When a beer's printed cans run out, the plan switches to its wraps on blank cans, then to labels on blank cans if the wraps run out too. This rule is an assumption we are confirming with your team.
* **Packs we can't check yet.** Mixed packs whose recipe isn't matched are counted separately, so they never count as "nothing short".
* Pasted passwords with a space at the start or end now work at sign-in.

## Shipments dated by ship date

Weekly shipment totals now use the date the beer shipped, not the date the invoice was posted. Friday shipments no longer move into the following week, so weeks that looked empty now show their real volume.

* The forecast was reloaded on the corrected history.
* A known production gap week is marked on the charts.

## Simpler history chart

The history chart now offers two views, raw weekly shipments and a smoothed line. The step view was removed because it was hard to read.

## Personal logins, clearer sources and range promotions

* **Personal logins.** Everyone has their own login, and every change in the decision log shows who made it.
* **Promotions over a date range.** A demand event can now lift one product or a whole brand over a range of weeks, by a percentage or a quantity. An override on a single week still wins.
* **Sources kept apart.** Shipments and liquor-board store sales are shown and labelled separately, and shipments can be broken down by customer account.
* **Plain wording.** Products are called SKUs consistently, and missing values show as N/A instead of zero.
* **Unusual weeks.** A one-off catch-up week is flagged on the charts and its seasonal factor corrected.
* **Analytics preview.** A read-only analytics page shows sales trends from a fixed snapshot.
* New look with Elevated Signals fonts.

## Real shipment history and page guides

* The forecast now uses your own Ekos shipment history (all channels, 2024 onward) and your finished-beer stock.
* Finished beer already in stock covers demand before any new packaging is planned.
* Each page has a built-in guide explaining what it shows, why it matters and what to do.
* Dates show the full week range, so it's clear which days a week covers.
