The Quality Work Items tracker keeps follow-up work connected to the quality records that created it. It is available when the capa-tracker feature is enabled for your organization.

Work Item Register

View quality tasks in List or Kanban format. Each task shows its title, owner, status, due date, and linked quality record. Use the owner, status, and linked-record filters to narrow either view, including unassigned or unlinked work. An unfinished task whose due date has passed is marked Overdue. Select New quality task to create an unlinked item with a title and optional description, owner, and due date. When the relationship matters, use Create quality task on a deviation, CAPA, or change-control detail page instead. The task then retains its source relationship for traceability.

Assignment and Status

Assign a task to an active user in your organization. Move work among Open, In Progress, and Blocked as its state changes, then move it to Done when the work is complete. Owner, status, and due-date changes require a specific reason for change and are written with the task update to the tamper-evident audit trail.

Completion

Done is terminal. A completed task remains visible, but its owner, details, due date, and status cannot be edited. If completed work needs correction, create a new linked quality task so the original completion record remains intact.
Quality Work Items is a quality-record follow-up layer. It does not provide sub-task trees, custom fields, comments, time tracking, cross-organization boards, notifications, or Gantt planning.

See dated tasks on the calendar

When Quality Calendar and your task workflow are enabled, unfinished tasks with a due date appear as Task entries labelled Task due date. Open the entry to return to the task. Completed and undated tasks do not appear in that feed. This is date visibility, not recurring-task automation. See Quality Calendar.
